A Capitol Hill associate role, an Eastside specialist appointment and a Snohomish County medical director search need different briefs. Start with the hospital address, clinical resources and schedule, then agree the search with BEGHR.
Specify independent procedures, appointment capacity and doctor overlap. If recruiting a new graduate, name the mentor and plan the one-time Washington jurisprudence training that follows licensure.
Plan an associate search →Define the discipline, required credentials, shift pattern and resources already available. Confirm with the Department of Health which Washington credential the specialist needs, and explain referral communication, overnight staffing and inpatient handover.
Scope a specialist role →List the hospitals and decision authority. Separate clinical workload from protected time for coaching, clinical standards, team development and site visits across King, Snohomish and Pierce counties.
Define a medical director role →Use the actual work address, building entrance, required arrival times and any additional facilities. Do not present an Everett or Tacoma vacancy as interchangeable with a Seattle neighborhood hospital. A rotating role should state which days belong to which site and whether movement between sites happens between working days or during a clinical shift.
Choose the clinical and operational interviewers, confirm the employer-approved package and identify who can authorize an offer. Use the same role-related criteria for every candidate and give one person responsibility for feedback. Have the wage range and benefits summary ready, because Washington requires them in postings from employers with 15 or more employees. Review the hiring brief and candidate scorecard before outreach.
This is permanent placement for employers. Your practice hires the selected candidate directly. An immediate relief shift needs a separate arrangement; this service does not promise a locum available today. Job seekers can start with BEGHR’s veterinary placement page; the pricing form here is for employer inquiries.
Use the Washington State Department of Health Provider Credential Search for the relevant professional record. Washington licenses veterinarians through the Department of Health, with rules set by the Veterinary Board of Governors. Assign a person to verify license status and any disciplinary action, record the date and resolve questions with the Department. Check specialty credentials the employer requires, such as board certification, with the issuing organization. The Department also licenses veterinary technicians and registers veterinary medication clerks, so confirm those credentials for the team the new doctor will supervise.
For a candidate moving from another state, review the Department of Health veterinarian license application page. Do not treat an out-of-state license or a preferred start date as confirmation that Washington requirements are satisfied. The Department says the state jurisprudence examination stopped being an initial licensing requirement on July 28, 2025 and is now continuing education completed after licensure and before the first renewal, while its licensing requirements page still describes the older examination, so confirm timing with the Department. BEGHR does not issue licenses.
For related requirements, see the veterinarian continuing education page and the substantially equivalent states list and the veterinary technician licensing page.

Veterinary recruitment coverage
A Seattle veterinary search works best when the hospital address comes before the regional label. Seattle neighborhoods, Eastside and South King County cities, and Snohomish and Pierce County cities are different workplaces with different teams. Business Executive Group uses the employer’s role, schedule and location to scope a permanent search.
Name the neighborhood or city and the street address. Seattle’s planning office notes that its Community Reporting Areas follow census tracts and may not match local ideas of neighborhood boundaries, and Bothell lies in both King and Snohomish counties. Coverage on this site is limited to Washington State; a hospital in Oregon or Idaho falls under a different state licensing authority.
Seattle’s planning office reports on 53 Community Reporting Areas that combine census tracts and may not match local ideas of neighborhood boundaries. Give the hospital street address and the neighborhood name candidates will recognize, and keep a Capitol Hill assignment separate from a Ballard, West Seattle or Northgate role in the same employer group.
Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Issaquah and Sammamish are separate incorporated cities in King County, each with its own city government. Use the city on the hospital address, and describe any second Eastside or Seattle site as its own assignment with its own days.
Renton, Kent, Federal Way and Burien are incorporated cities in King County. The Census Bureau lists White Center as a census designated place rather than an incorporated city, so confirm the jurisdiction on the hospital address before naming the role.
Shoreline is in King County, and Lynnwood, Edmonds and Everett are in Snohomish County. Bothell lies in both counties. State the county and city on the hospital address, and record any second site as a separate assignment.
Tacoma and Lakewood are incorporated cities in Pierce County. Use the city on the hospital address, and identify any King County hospital the clinician also covers as a separate assignment with its own days.
